I've sketched and scribbled since the last update, I've just been a really lazy bum about scanning them in.
Well, here's a few of them...
Here's a couple of doodles done with a ballpoint pen on a couple of post-it notes. I'm actually very proud of the woman. I did it as an exercice in drawing clothing with folds, and while not perfect it is still a marked improvement on previous attempts.
Just a small boy drawn from imagination. Kind of anime-like.
It's very exagerated, but I like it that way.
Here's an attempt at a heroic pose and stylized lines. She looks like the star of a really horrible superhero comic, doesn't she? I'm happy with the way the hair turned out. I decided not to do any shading to keep that simple style.
Villain, anyone?
Yeah, I tried to draw a Sauron-esque wizard badguy.
Not really happy with how it turned out...
I started drawing that little wizard-dude with no real plan as to how it should turn out and decided to keep drawing in the same style. I really liked the wizard, but wasn't really satisfied with the other guys so I tried to draw a dragon in the same style. Once the shout came into place it looked more like a pig, so that's what he turned into.

I know, I know... It's been a criminally long time since the last update.
I don't really know WHY, but suddenly it felt like a chore to update. Weird, huh
Anyways, I'm going to give it a new shot, hopefully I'll stick with it. No promises though.
I've drawn a lot since the last time I wrote here but most of it hasn't been scanned in yet. Before doing so I'm adding a few old drawings that I haven't posted here yet.
Enjoy!

Dungeon delving
I started experimenting with creating my own Photoshop brushes today, and having created some I had to USE them for something. So, here's a quick cavern I drew.
I started sketching the very basic outlines and then filled in the values in grayscale, using varying brushes and levels of opacity on the brushes. I then created an overlay layer where I added the colouring.
I understand that is a very common way of creating a painting in Photoshop, but it's a new experience for me. Fun to try out new things. ^_^

Hulk smash!
During a late-evening meeting at my work I kept on sketching, this being one of the results. I started with the shape of the mouth and added teeth, then expanded from there. I had no real purpose except creating a character with a very exagerated emotion (using a 2H pencil).
Two of my colleagues commented that he looked like the Hulk. A bit skinny for that I think, but it does remind me a bit of him once the idea had settled in.
