Stomp!

Made freeform from my imagination with a B2 graphite stick and a stub (a tightly rolled paper "pencil" used for smudging). The toes are a bit too short, but I'm very pleased with the values on this foot.

Nicknacks and gadgets

So far I've only showcased organic pictures, so it's about high time I show off some drawings dealing with objects and random stuff.

As you can see, the last two drawings are imcomplete.
The cup got interrupted by at work and when I sat down to resume the light had changed very much from before.
The robot I stopped drawing because it simply bored me. I'm fairly happy with the shading and texture of the finished arm, but I wasn't happy with the overall design.

Self portrait

I did this portrait in ArtRage, using only the pencil tool.
It's a fair likeness, though a little bland perhaps? I guess I could have played around more with shading and highlights, but I kind of like the minimalistic style.

I had a picture to look at, so it's not from my head alone. :)

Monsters and Misfits

A collection of strange, weird and bizare things I've drawn...

Just look, no touching!

These two sketches represent crossing a line for me.
They represent me actually trying to draw realistically and anatomically correct. Well yes, the result is rather far from realistic, but at least I TRIED and that's what makes them special for me.

There are just SO many ways this eye could have been drawn better. Lots of small details like lacking shading on the eyeball, the masculine eyebrows (misplaced) on a feminine eye, the weirdly shaped eyelid, and loads of other niggles and imperfection. But it IS a good starting point.

Heh, seems I've managed to scan this one with a horizontal flip. ^_^
Not really a bad effort, even though I'm saying so myself. The fingers are a little TOO straight along the edge, the thumb has a weird skinfold where it meets the hand and the wrist seems slightly odd, but these are all minor details.

These were both made with a B2 pencil, by the way. I believe I drew them a few days after buying my first set of quality pencils and some kneadrubber.
